            In the last few years teeth whitening has become one of the most popular dental services offered.  There many different products on the market all of which work to some degree.  In this article I will be discussing home teeth whitening evaluations, and writing reviews on teeth whiteners such as over the counter products, take home teeth whiteners and in the office teeth whitening procedures like zoom teeth whitening.  There are no instant teeth whiteners out there, but some are pretty quick.  Read on to learn about some of the options available. 

           There are many over the counter teeth whiteners available.  First there are mouthwashes which do absolutely nothing!  Then there are the whitening toothpastes and many of them at that.  They really don’t bleach the tooth but remove light stain from the outer surface of the tooth.  They have an abrasive ingredient in them which removes the light discoloration, but doesn’t change the actual color of the teeth which most people ultimately want.  The whitening strips are the best over the counter tooth whitening product on the market.  There are mixed reviews, but most people find that they do a decent job.  The whitening product on the strip permeates into the tooth surface and bleaches the organic (living) material inside.  The only thing is that the strips are not made to fit each individual mouth exactly, therefore if your teeth are larger or smaller, the strip may not fit perfectly.  Another main concern is that tooth bleaching doesn’t happen quickly enough.  This is because the manufacturer can only legally put a certain strength of the product on the strip.  The only tip I can say for this is to look at the active ingredients on the packaging, and find the highest percentage of the active ingredient possible.  The higher the percentage, the stronger the product therefore a better and faster whitening effect.

            The next product is the take home tooth whitening kit from your dental office.  The home teeth whitening evaluation of this is quite high.  This is actual the method that I personally use and produces a great result.  My teeth are super white!  Custom trays are made of your teeth from your dental office.  Then you take them home, put in the gel and within 7-14 days your teeth will be a lot whiter.  This method is very good and doesn’t cost an arm and leg so most people can afford this.

            The final teeth whitener product I will discuss is the in office laser whitening system.  Especially in White rock teeth bleaching has become very popular using the laser method.  Also in Ann Arbor teeth whitening is a huge phenomenon! People like this method as it is quick and very successful as well.  This entire procedure takes only 45-60 minutes!!  The only negative aspect is that it is more costly than the other tooth whitening systems I reviewed previously.
